


Google announced that it would bring Play Store games to Windows PC in December 2021, and while it was clear that it was not working with Microsoft on this offering or using its Windows Subsystem for Android technologies to do so. This capability is currently available with select games. Gamers can now customize which keys to use for gameplay controls on PCs and tablets. Google has significantly reduced the minimum system specification requirements to run Google Play Games Beta on PC, opening up the product to “hundreds of millions of additional PCs.” With the addition of over 60 new markets, Google Play Games Beta on PC is now available to gamers in over 120 different regions.
